Political leaders need the support of voters during the election campaign and the trust of the population in order to fulfill their obligations. These are interconnected processes that need to be constantly monitored, carrying out certain actions aimed at improving people’s lives. One of these leaders, who well understands the significance of their actions and works for the benefit of the entire people, is president uzbekistan shavkat mirziyoyev .
Politician’s reputation
Mirziyoyev has held senior positions in the country since 2003. At first he was the head of government, then became president as a result of general democratic elections. In his work, he immediately set a course for reforms in order to improve the economic situation of the country and the social situation of its citizens.
Having headed the state in 2016, he took an unexpected action for many – he freed political prisoners. This was the first step towards liberalization of the entire state system. An important stage in this direction was the reform of the country’s Constitution, where women’s rights were equalized, many barriers in the economy were removed, and measures to protect the environment were defined.
Politically, the main change has been the length of time the president has been in power. Instead of five years, the period was extended to seven. Thanks to this, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, elected in 2023, can remain in power until 2030 and then run again.
