The formation of the OJSC Reshetnev organization began back in 1959. At that time it was called OJSC Information Satellite Systems named after Academician M. F. Reshetnev. It was a branch of the famous Special Design Bureau-1 named after S.P. Korolev, headed by M.F. Reshetnev.
It was not long before the company became a satellite production; initially they were involved in ballistic missiles, and they began creating satellites in the early 60s. The business went well and this direction became the leading one.
The company was one of the first in the Soviet Union to develop communication satellites, as well as television broadcasting and data relaying. Later, navigation and geodetic spacecraft were included in the development.
Under the leadership of Reshetnev M.F. Over half a century, a significant base has been developed, including developments of a diverse nature (production, technological, experimental).
The production of devices designed to operate in outer space, with a wide range of purposes, was actively underway.
Simultaneously with the release of satellites, the company began work related to measurements of cosmic coordinates and culminated in the release of the Cyclone satellite.

As at the beginning of its activities, the organization never ceases to amaze its compatriots with new products in the field of satellites and satellite systems. They are key components of the orbital fleet of the Russian Federation.
Innovative technologies developed by the company’s academics are used not only by citizens of Russia, but also of other countries. The main discovery that made Reshetnev JSC famous are coordinate measuring satellites, thanks to which problems of geodesy and navigation are easily solved.
These achievements are the result of a unique control system carried out at every stage of production, which allows us to strictly minimize defects and guarantee high quality.
OJSC Reshetnev has modern equipment that is regularly updated. Despite the highly qualified specialists working in the company, staff training is carried out, and training activities are carried out. This allows you to dive deeper into the main aspects of the activity and create more functional devices for use in space.
In 2000, in collaboration with Eutelsat (an international satellite operator), the SESAT project was implemented, which is a communications satellite.
